Weekly Roundup: But why is the TARDIS named in English?
Let's be honest... This weekly roundup is being written from our living room floor because 1) we are very, very tired, and 2) it's incredibly hot in LA this week and this is the only place cool enough in our house to be comfortable. Like literally, the cats are laying next to us and we're all trying not to move too much because it might make us hotter. And before we were laying on the floor this week...
... CT helped a friend coordinate his wedding, which we both attended yesterday (hence the tired, allllll the tired). It was a beautiful ceremony and a great time celebrating with the happy couple! In probably the prettiest back yard either of us has ever seen...
... Little C fell deeply in love with the song Flashlight by the band The Front Bottoms (who CT dislikes based purely on the fact that their name makes her uncomfortable). It's got a very Mountain Goats vibe but the way it builds up and layers the vocals at the end has meant that it's been added to the summer playlist in spite of that fact that it breaks all her summer music rules...
... In according with our ongoing obsession with Tana French, CT finally finished her newest novel The Trespasser this week. While it didn't quite capture the magic of The Likeness or The Secret Place, it's a tight, suspenseful novel that CT finished in about three days because once it gets going there's really no putting it down...
... Little C is getting caught up on The Flash. She hates admitting that she fell behind but there are just so many DC Universe shows that a girl can watch at once, but she's getting on it guys. Don't fret. Caitlin Snow 4 Lyfe y'all...
... Let's just be honest here. We watched a ton of Brooklyn Nine Nine because between our day jobs, the wedding, and our new feature script, we've been exhausted and the only thing we need in our lives is Terry Crews and the hilarity of this show.
