CT: Prove It

Well readers, here we are. A day late. I would love to say I have a really really good excuse but really we went to karaoke last night. And I was so enamored by the guy that did allllll of "Gaston" (with all the voices, no joke), that we got home and I promptly went to bed. At any rate my punishment word is "abridged" because Little C is a cruel woman. So here we go.

In the last few weeks we've been working on a brand new project, and we finally feel comfortable sharing some info on it with you all. Now, if you've seen us in person recently you'll know that we're so dang excited that we can't shut up about it, but here's the abridged version.

We're making a webseries called Prove It! We've been in preproduction for the last few weeks and plan to shoot it at the end of the month. We are working with possibly the most fantastic and talented team of people ever, and I'm so excited that I can barely stand it.

What Cait and I are hoping is that Prove It is a good, concise sample of our style. We actually took the bare bones of a pilot concept we'd been playing with and abridged it down to five short episodes. There will be some scary, some funny, some outside the normal world- basically a grab bag of the things we love.

This has also been an opportunity to essentially try being Showrunners. Even with a (very) abridged season, we've shaped character arcs, planned episodes, and are working on a roll-out plan. And even with the abridged scale that we're working in, it's been a great chance to experience what we hope to make our full-time careers.

So for the next few weeks, we are working on finding some interesting ways to take you inside our process, through the rest of production, until we can premiere the series. For now, you can always follow us on Twitter and Facebook (we're under 908 South on both). Here's a little teaser of where we're headed:

Okay, so that wasn't so much the abridged version. But I used approximately 1% of the exclamation points that I wanted to use so there you go. Small victories.

Happy watching!
