CT: Woah...

Well, guys, this was supposed to be a completely different kind of post. After a busy day of investigating the new Ikea in Burbank (spoiler: it was gigantic and overwhelming but kind of like Disneyland), we were all set to see John Wick 2 and I was so ready to tell you all how amazing it was.

But alas, by the time we got to the theater tonight not only was the 8:30 show sold out, but the ones after that were too. Seems that pretty much everyone in the greater LA area had the exact same idea as we did. There was brief discussion of seeing something else (perhaps a third round of xXx, anyone?). But nothing else will do. We will have Keanu or we will have nothing.

You see, the love for Keanu Reeves runs deep around these parts. We've already told you about our love for Speed and Constantine, but that's just scratching the surface. Starting even before I was born, Keanu was batting those gorgeous lashes and defending the honor of the ladies in Babes In Toyland. I might have been naught but a twinkle, but he was already a total babe (sorry that was awful, won't happen again). Even during the 2000's when it was suddenly fashionable to mock the crap out of him, Reeves was just steadily making good movies, carving out a niche for himself in the industry.

So no, we didn't get to see John Wick 2 tonight. But you can bet that we will. Damn that movie looks like a good time. And it fulfills our Ruby Rose hat trick, and you all know that I like things that come in threes. Plus, maybe we'll see xXx one more time after it, just for good measure.

Happy watching,
CT
